Overview

We are currently seeking a Converting Shift Coach to join our SCA Tissue North America division at our Barton, Alabama manufacturing facility.

Main Tasks

As a Converting Shift Coach, your main responsibility will be to provide leadership, coaching, and direction to technician teams to fully develop team capability and proficiency in achieving performance objectives in a highly participative, team-based environment. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor and track team performance and provide feedback to assist teams in taking corrective actions to address deviations

• Develop strong and effective relationships with the Superintendents, Engineers, On-Shift TST and other Shift Coaches

• Develop a knowledge of machine/product technology and processes

• In cooperation with training resources, customize and implement training initiatives that systematically improve team skills and proficiency through the technical criteria qualification process

• Ensure compliance of company policies and guidelines for attendance, discipline, performance appraisal, etc.

Requirements

To be considered a qualified candidate, you must posses the following:

• Four-year degree, or equivalent experience

• Previous supervisory experience, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline

• 5 years manufacturing experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role

• Working knowledge of computers
