full time Contract Electrical Engineer

This is a short-term 6-month contract opportunity with options for full-time employment or contract extensions. This position is located at a remote customer site in Birmingham, AL. This will be a full-time contract position. Responsibilities will include providing electrical engineering and support services on an existing machine running Siemens S7 PLC's & IIMI's, PLC & IIMI programming, and design of drawings and specifications. This position will include local plant support on existing machines and equipment. The ideal candidate should have: a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field, ability to work independently or as a team member, the drive to deliver quality products in a timely manner, client interfacing skills and a consultant mindset, 5+ years programming experience, solid knowledge of PLC's, drives, and Safety systems. Experience with Siemens S7 control systems is a requirement, experience with other PLC's and Control Systems is a plus. Compensation will depend on experience level starting at $65.00 an hour plus per diem. We will only accept resumes in the qualified field as indicated above.
