Like the Tennessee River, music flows through the Shoals. It can be heard as part of the exhibits at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, or at Norton Auditorium (UNA Campus) when the Muscle Shoals Concert Association hosts a symphony. It's at the Ritz Theater during a Center Stage production, or when the Shoals Symphony performs. Residents and visitors sing the blues during the W.C. Handy Music Festival, a weeklong Shoals-wide celebration in honor of our native son, the Father of the Blues. The deep blue water that flows through our shores must provide inspiration for musicians, for so many live here. The rest of us are simply content to enjoy the melodies they produce.
