Seasonal Tips
Spring Season: March-June
Follow the fishing trail along gravel points and bars, rip rap banks and bluffs during the Spring season. Fill your tackle box with crank baits, spinner baits, small jigs, and spinning rods. Fishing Tip: Use 6 to 8 lb. test line in clear water and 8 to 10 lb. test line in stained water. With jigs and grubs, use bait casters spooled with 10 to 12 lb. test in clear water and 12 to 14 lb test in stained water for cranks and spinners.
Summer Season: June-September
Follow the fishing trail along shell mounds, Indian mounds, and underwater humps during the Summer season. Fill your tackle box with jigs, big crank baits, spinner baits, and Carolina rig lizards. Live shiners always attract the fish. Fishing Tip: Bring your bait casters, 12 to 14 lb. test line and spinning reels for jigs and live bait.

Winter Season: December-March
Follow the fishing trail to Pickwick Lake for the best Smallmouth Bass during the Winter Season. Fill your tackle box with willow leaf spinner baits in white or white/chartreuse. Fishing Tip: Fist the tail races below the dams and HOLD ON!!
