YOUTH LEADERSHIP SHOALS CLASS GRADUATES
Florence, Ala. – May 1, 2006
Forty-seven Shoals high school juniors confirmed they have what it takes to become future leaders of their community, as they graduated from the Shoals Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program. The graduation ceremony was held Sunday on the campus of the University of North Alabama in Florence.
Graduates, representing 14 area high schools, completed a nine-month program covering local government, history, economics, diversity and service, and included a trip to Montgomery to witness state government in action.
The following students completed the course:
Brooks High School: Ashley Johnson and Joshua McDonald; Central High School: Emily Austin; Cherokee High School: Emily Anderson, Jacqueline Guffey, Caspian Haley, and Christyna Malone; Colbert County High School: Jeremy Coan and Whitney Coan; Covenant Christian Academy: Morgan Hamm, Jameson Hughston, and Katherine Noblit; Deshler High School: Mary Catherine Heflin, Keon Morris, and Kiara Ragland; Florence High School: Lauren Abroms, Isabelle Akers, David Beasley, Drew Bullard, Blair Burgess, Matthew Kalliath, Frances Morton, Julie Muhlendorf, Christopher Ray, Kelly Thigpen, Caroline Tomlinson, and Megan Tucker; Lexington High School: Donnielle Green and Alan Killen; Mars Hill Bible School: Mel Ambrose, Nicholas Darby and Kelsey Sherrod; Muscle Shoals High School: Davis Bradford, Adam Brock, Natalie Gist, Grace McLendon, Shayla Pearsall, Patrick Sanders and Anna Turner; Rogers High School: Lindley Bassham and William Vaden; Shoals Christian Academy: Robbie Burdine, Marshall Everett, Swayze Layton and Bethany Prince; Wilson High School: Chelsea Cernosek and Sarah Frisbie.
