There are many ways to network and promote your business by being a member of the Chamber of Commerce. You will receive an attractive membership plaque certifying your membership and giving you the added credibility that comes from
Chamber membership.
BUSINESS CONTACTS
Business After Hours / Networking at Noon- These social functions are business card
networking events to provide further opportunities to build your prospect
lists, expand your networking circle and have some after hours fun. Large
crowds of nearly 200 member business people mix and mingle at these
bimonthly gatherings at sponsors locations throughout the Shoals. As a
Chamber member, you are eligible to host a Business After Hours.
Chamber Breakfasts - These bimonthly meetings provide an opportunity to network with other Chamber members and hear interesting and informative speakers on a variety of topics. As a Chamber member you are eligible to host a Chamber Breakfast.
ChamberMart - Rent a booth at the Chamber's annual table top expo to
promote your products/services to other Chamber members. Held annually in May at the Florence Conference Center
Focus Group Luncheons - Participate with the Chamber Chairman and President in a monthly focus group discussion on ways the Chamber can assist your business and serve its members more effectively.
Annual Dinner Meeting - Held each March, this celebration features a nationally recognized speaker or entertainer and dinner. It gives you an opportunity to meet with other leaders in the community in a social atmosphere.
Issues Meetings - You will be invited to meetings with political leaders such as our United States Senators and Representatives, Alabama's Governor and other officials who will keep you informed on political matters that can have an impact on your business. As always, there are ample opportunities to make excellent business contacts.
Committees, Special Projects: Getting Involved - There are many opportunities for involvement through the Chamber. Any employee of a Chamber member firm is eligible to serve on one or more of the Chamber's committees and special programs. Chamber members have discovered that the more you get involved, the more impact you have on your business environment and the more business contacts you can make.
BUSINESS TRAINING/EDUCATION
Professional Development Programs - Seminars for Chamber members on everything from customer service to networking training to humor in the workplace, and all at a fraction of what it would normally cost a business.
Leadership Shoals - Chamber member participants in this program gain a thorough understanding of the issues and actions which affect the growth of the Shoals.
One-on-One Business Counseling - The Chamber will help you find the
assistance needed to address your business challenges by arranging
counseling through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and other resources that may be available to offer support.
