Shoals Area Chamber Foundation Mission Statement:
A non-profit corporation of volunteers dedicated to the Shoals area of North Alabama for the purpose of engaging in all charitable, scientific, literary and educational endeavors.

CURRENT FOUNDATION PROJECTS:

Anti Litter Education:
Volunteers Provide education to area schools to get area students involved in their community.

CHOICES Program:
Educational Tool provides character and career development for every area 8th grader in two North Alabama counties

Teacher Depot:
Through community and business donations, area teachers can "shop" (for free) for all donated items from pens, pencils, paper, crayons, markers, tissues to computers, printers, printer ink, etc....

At Risk Tutoring Program:
Foundation provides administrative assistance to all area schools to hire reading tutors for At Risk Students.

Youth Leadership Program:
Foundation provides a staff person to coordinate and administer program. 
40 area high school juniors take a monthly tour of their community, learn about volunteerism, community development, education and business.

The corporation is organized for the purpose of engaging in all, charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes in which an organization may engage as an organization exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986
